Jack Modell, M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist with nearly 40 years of experience in clinical medicine and research. After achieving tenure as a full professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Modell changed career paths and joined GlaxoSmithKline, where he served for many years as a Vice President in Neurosciences and was also an executive sponsor for GSK’s LGBTQ employee resource group. Dr. Modell is now Vice President and Senior Medical Officer at Rho, a contract research organization for drug development, where he continues his advocacy work for diversity, inclusion, and support of human rights.
